The Rose That Grew from Concrete (Tupac Shakur)

"Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature's laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny, it seems to by keeping its dreams; it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared."

U.S.A. / 1999

After rapper Tupac was murdered, his personal journal was found. His journal was packed with poems. In 1999, this collection was typed and printed into a beautiful book. All the poems were written between 1989 and 1991. This collection offers wonderful insight toward his artistic process and into his beautifully tender mind. Never forget that rap is poetry!
