"Skin Like Brick Dust" [from Prelude to Bruise] (Saeed Jones)

"I didn’t know your name, so I kissed one into your mouth. Told myself he is my body but you were already on your way out into the sirens."

Saeed Jones is a young Memphis-born, NYC-based poet making waves in the game. He is currently the Literary Editor for Buzzfeed and has published three books. I think he has another coming soon. Prelude to Bruise was his 2nd chapbook of poetry. He writes a lot about race, intimacy and masculinity. Love this line. He writes and curates a ton of stuff over at Buzzfeed.
