U.S.A. / 2017
This is the new collection of poems out from Morgan Parker, a fabulous young poet and the author of Other People's Comfort Keep Me Up At Night (2015). This book is on my to-buy list. It features poems on pop-culture, race, politics, beauty and black womanhood. A reviewer on GoodReads said that if you aren't in-the-know about the black girl lingo, trends, and references, you can easily get lost in the sauce. Happy to hear that. Sounds like this collection is F.U.B.U. Can't wait to get my copy!
