"Mofolo's novel is an allegory in which a young African in search of truth and virtue journeys to a land where white men help bring him to Christian salvation." — GoodReads. Thomas Mofolo is one of Lesotho's most famous authors. He wrote in Sesotho and his work was translated into English after missionaries noticed he had great writing potential. However, people have criticized the English translations, for obvious reasons.
